Shrubs, flowers, benches and bookshelves are just some of the many gifts that Lowe’s will be giving to students and staff this week at Douglass Elementary School, 1310 N. 9th St.
The store, located at 6920 State Avenue, has chosen Douglass for a Project Lowe’s Grant. The grant will include beautifying the school grounds and installing bookshelves inside the building.
More than 120 volunteers are anticipated to be involved in the work, which will take place this week at the school.
