By NICK SLOAN, NJSloan212@gmail.com

There's good news for the Piper Schools District this morning.

The Piper Schools Fiberhood has reached its Fiberhood registration goal, meaning all of the schools inside the Piper School District will receive Google Fiber for free.

Fiberhoods nearing their goals:
  • Eugene Ware, 2
  • Washington, 5
  • Wyandotte Center, 6
  • White Church, 8
  • Grinter, 8
  • Miland Pump Station, 9
Meanwhile, the following schools across Kansas City, Kan., will receive Google Fiber for free: the entire Piper School District; Frank Rushton Elementary School; Bethel Elementary School; Turner Middle School; M.E. Pearson Elementary School; Resurrection Catholic School; McKinley Elementary School; Bishop Ward High School; Mark Twain Elementary School; Wyandotte High School; Donnelly College; Rosedale Middle School; New Chelsea Elementary School and T.A. Edison.

The rest of the schools in KCK still need some help in registrations.

However, some are in reasonably good shape as of this morning.
