For the 90th consecutive year, Kansas City Kansas Community College will hold its annual Candlelighting Service Wednesday, Dec. 5.
The oldest tradition on the KCKCC campus, two services will be held – at 9 and 11 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center on the campus at 7250 State Avenue.
Both services are open to the public and will feature music selections by the KCKCC Theatre, Instrumental and Vocal music departments and conclude with the lighting of candles and singing of Christmas carols and traditional standards.
Shawn Derritt, the Director of Counseling and a KCKCC graduate, will deliver the feature address at the 11 a.m. service.
