Transformative Power of Art Brown Bag at KCKCC April 18

“Designing Hope: The Transformative Power of Art” will be the focus of a Brown Bag program at Kansas City Kansas Community College Thursday, April 18.

Linda Gates, a registered art therapist and licensed master’s level psychologist from the Wyandot Center, will present the program at 12:30 p.m. in Room 3397 in the Jewell Center on the KCKCC campus at 7250 State Avenue.

A robust art therapy program located at the Wyandot Center, the Art Maker’s Place was created by persons who believe in the healing power of art and have provided the space for individuals to have the opportunity to create their lives anew thorough the arts.

Almost a year old, the center continues to grow through more workshops and classes.

Sponsored by the Women’s Resource Center at KCKCC, the Brown Bag is open to the public without charge and iced tea will be provided.
