It was a night of firsts at Lakeside Speedway, as Austin Siebert and Chad Clancy raced to their first career victories in their divisions.

Austin Siebert led the most important lap in the USRA A-Modifieds event, in a race that featured five lead changes. Austin, from Grandview, Mo., raced from fourth to first in the last five laps to record his first career victory at Lakeside.

It took Chad Clancy, a Smithville, Mo., native, 12 of the 15 laps in the USRA B-Modifieds feature to best Nortonville, Kan., driver Luke Nieman, on his way to his first career win in this class. Clancy, the 2009 Grand National champion, recently moved up to the B-Mods class and is now one of 23 different drivers to win in more than one class.

Nic Bidinger collected his fifth career win in the USRA A-Modifieds at Lakeside Speedway, as he ran flawlessly in the make-up feature from the opening day rain out.

Marshall Jewett got back to his winning ways as he led from wire to wire in the Grand National division. Jewett, from Gardner, Kan., now has 8 career victories in the Grand National division and 9 in the Factory Stock division.

Factory Stock point leader, Nate Barnes, took home his first trophy of the season. Hailing from Kearney, Mo., Barnes needed seven laps to go from sixth to first on his way to collecting his fiveth trophy in the division.

“Racing on the River’s Edge” continues every Friday night through October with the USRA A-Modifieds, Grand Nationals, USRA B-Modifieds and Factory Stocks.  Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:45 p.m., and the first race gets under way at 7:30 p.m.

Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children six and younger admitted free. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.
