Lakeside Speedway Recap: April 18

By BOB LIBBEY, Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, KAN.  – Tim Karrick left no doubt tonight as to why he has over a dozen track championships to his credit in the 25-lap, USRA A-Modified feature.

Taking the lead early, the Basehor, Kan., driver hit all his marks consistently lap after lap, holding off all competitors on his way to victory lane. On the last lap, Mark Schafman was able to briefly pull along-side Karrick but ran out of tires when he needed them the most. He would finish second to the hard charger of the night, Nic Bidinger. Bidinger, started 20th and raced his way to ninth by lap 10, fifth by lap 15 and finally third at the end. Jared Steins and Justin Johnson rounded out the top five.

Brad Smith proved that last week’s USRA B-Modified feature win was no fluke by backing it up with a win tonight as well. Leading every lap, the Belton, Mo., driver fended off Gene Claxton for the first half of the race and then Chad Clancy for the second half of the race. At the end, Clancy was able to hold off Jake Richards for second and Mike Higley held off Chad Feather for fourth.

Once again the USRA Stock Cars put on one of the best shows of the night. The leader of the 15-lap feature was never more than a car-length from the rest of the top-five.

Sean Foster took command early until defending champion, Brett Heeter, worked the berm to take the lead and the eventual win. Marshall Jewett and Kevin Anderson were the hard chargers of the night, starting 13th and 17th, but finishing second and fourth, respectively. Joe Smith, Jr, who himself started ninth, finished third. Current point leader, Jim Powell, Jr finished fifth after having to re-start at the tail after getting caught up in an early race caution.

Donnie Brown picked up his second career victory in the Grand National division. Brown started off strong and needed but four laps to get by early leader, Marshall Jewett. Jewett continued to pursue Brown but would end up third as Tim Shields was able to get around him with only a couple laps remaining. Defending champion and current point leader, Gary Donaldson, finished fourth and Chris Littrell rounded out the top-five.

“Racing on the rivers edge” continues every Friday night through October with the USRA A-Modifieds, Grand Nationals, USRA B-Modifieds and USRA Stock Cars.

Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:45 p.m., and the first race gets under way at 7:30 p.m.  Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children six and younger admitted free. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.

Lakeside Speedway looking for museum donations

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Lakeside Speedway has established a new museum to mark the history of its racetrack.

However, the track is in need of items to display.

More information:
At 60 years old, Lakeside Speedway is one of the oldest operating short tracks in the nation and is recognized as having produced some of the finest race car drivers in the history of the sport.

We will now be able to celebrate all that Lakeside Speedway has been and continues to be with the new Lakeside Speedway Museum, located on the second floor of Lakeside Speedway’s main building, 5615 Wolcott Drive, Kansas City, KS 66109. It is FREE to enter and open to the public.

Since its inception in 1955, there have been national champions competing weekly, dozens of track champions and hundreds of feature winners, not to mention the tens of thousands of dedicated race fans who have experienced this half-mile racing wonder. Lakeside Speedway has had different physical track locations, numerous owners, different classes, run under different sanctioning bodies and has overcome numerous challenges along the way. All of this and more we are going to celebrate.

But we need your help.

We are looking for donations or items to display. Do you have anything that speaks of the history of Lakeside Speedway? Old trophies collecting dust? Old photographs? Old programs in boxes? An old drivers suit or helmet? If you do, we would like to clean it up, do a write up about the piece and put it out so everyone can enjoy reliving the history of Lakeside Speedway.

For more information on the museum call the Lakeside Speedway office at (913) 299-9206, JD Green at (816) 668-8609 or Bob Libbey at (623) 363-1102 or visit our official website at www.lakesidespeedway.net.

Lakeside Speedway Recap: April 6

News Release:
Nic Bidinger bettered last week’s USRA A-Mod finish by just one place.

Of course, he finished second last week, so this week it meant a victory. It was no give me, as he started 9th and had to race his way through tough competition to take the lead.
Early on, it looked like Justin Johnson was going to earn his first career victory, but a lap-17 caution put an end to that. Bidinger took advantage of the bunched up field and motored for the lead. Johnson finished second. Tyler Schmidt made the best of the last two laps by getting around Tim Karrick for third. Terry Schultz raced from dead last to finish 5th in the 25-lap event.

Tim Shields showed his dominance in the 15-lap Grand National feature by running a smooth line and leading every lap. Starting fourth, the former Stock Car champion used the high-side cushion to guide him to victory. Defending champion, Gary Donaldson gave chase running second every lap. 15-year-old Houston Johnson, raced from 6th to 3rd while pole-sitter, Marshall Jewett, edged out Chris Littrell to round out the top-five.

The USRA B-Modifieds put on another exciting 15-lap feature as high school student, Shadren Turner, took early command of the 29-car field. While Turner was maintaining the lead, veteran driver, Gene Claxton, was meticulously picking off the field on his way to the front. Finally on lap 9, Claxton was able to make his move to take the lead. It would, however, be short lived as Mike Higley was also working his way up from an 18th starting position. Higley saw to it that Claxton would only lead lap 10 and 11 as he drove his Ford powered rocket to the lead and then victory lane. Claxton and Yancy Shepard finished, second and third, respectively while Chad Clancy and Turner rounded out the top-five.

Jim Powell showed that the USRA Stock Car division is going to be a tough class to win in again this year. Powell powered from fourth to first in the first lap and managed to hold off the field for the first 6 laps. Joe Smith, Jr put an end to Powell’s run as he made the most of consistent laps to take over the reins on lap 7. As Smith took the lead, defending champion, Brett Heeter, followed him lap for lap, charging by him on lap nine. Just when it looked like Heeter would amass career win 22 in the class, Powell made the most of lapped traffic, and shooting low out of the last corner was able to beet Heeter to the finish line, side by side. Smith finished third, ahead of last week’s winner, Justin Siefert.  Jay Shultz rounded out the top-five.

“Racing on the rivers edge” continues every Friday night through October with the USRA A-Modifieds, Grand Nationals, USRA B-Modifieds and USRA Stock Cars.  Gates open at 5:00pm, hot laps at 6:45 p.m., and the first race gets under way at 7:30 p.m.  Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children 6 and younger admitted FREE. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.

Bidinger, Donaldson, Smith, Heeter earn wins at Lakeside

By BOB LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – It’s been said you only have to lead the last lap to win a race. Tonight, Nic Bidinger proved you only have to lead the last couple feet to win a USRA A-Modfied race. Bidinger started sixth and worked his way through the field and by lap 24, he was up to second. Aaron Marrant, who had led every lap thus far, was the last car in his sights.

With a slingshot move to the inside of Marrant and coming to the checkers, Bidinger was able to carry enough momentum to cross the finish line first. Jason Bodenhamer and Terry Schultz battled hard to finish third and fourth, while Cody Agler rounded out the top-five.

The Grand National 20-lap feature started off being a race where you didn't want to take the lead. Dennis Melvin, Marshall Jewett, Donnie Brown and Don Marrs all took turn leading and all took turns falling out of the race early. Finally at lap 15, Gary Donaldson took over the reins and held on for the win. Melvin would be able to rejoin the race and finished third behind Tim Shields. Brian Mills, who started 12th, raced to a fourth place finish ahead of Michael Morse, Sr.

Brad Smith’s trophy celebration was extra special tonight as he notched his 100th career victory. The USRA B-Modified feature win wasn't a given, as he started tenth and had a tough field ahead of him. It wasn't until lap 9 that Smith was able to battle for and take the lead from Jake Richards. Richards would end up fourth behind Chad Clancy and Royce Stanley. Nick Newton rounded out the top-five.

Brett Heeter proved early on that he had the set up in the Factory Stocks. Heeter started the night with a heat win and then finished it off with the feature win as well. Again this week the race wasn’t a walk in the park as he was continually challenged by numerous competitors. At the end, point leader, Nate Barnes, would finish second. In his first race in a Factory Stock, Josh Foster, finished a respectable third, edging out Marshall Jewett. John O’Neal Jr. rounded out the top-five.

“Racing on the River’s Edge” continues every Friday night through October with the USRA A-Modifieds, Grand Nationals, USRA B-Modifieds and Factory Stocks.  Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:45 p.m., and the first race gets under way at 7:30 p.m.  Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children 6 and younger admitted free. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.

KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- Here are photos from this week's group of winners at Lakeside Speedway. All photos are courtesy of PictureMeRacing.

Lakeside Speedway results: July 13

By BOB LIBBEY, Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Darron Fuqua dominated the USRA A-Modified feature by lapping more than half the field.

The Mayetta, Kan., driver started from the pole and never looked back in a race that went green, white, checkered and took right at nine minutes to complete.

Jason Bodenhamer gave chase the entire race, but could never get to within a front-stretch length of Fugua’s back bumper. Bodenhamer would finish third at the end as Nic Bidinger, in a borrowed car no less, worked his way through the field to finish second.

Luke Driscoll and last week’s feature winner, Tim Karrick, battled hard the entire race and would finish fourth and fifth, respectively.

Don’t let the fact that Nate Barnes led every lap of the Factory Stocks feature lead you to believe it was boring, hum-drum race. In fact it was the Factory Stocks that put on one of the most exciting shows of the night, as you could just about put a blanket over the top-three at any time.

John O’Neal Jr. and Brett Heeter early on were battling with Barnes and then O'Neal and Bobby Tavis at the end. While Heeter would end up falling back, O’Neal and Tavis finished second and third. Defending Factory Stock champion, Justin Siefer, put on quite a show of his own, winning the B-Feature. He started last in the A and passing Steve Johnson with one lap to go to finish fourth.

Post Independence Day racing action provides fireworks for Lakeside Speedway fans

By RODNEY WHITE, Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Fireworks were promised to the packed crowd at Lakeside Speedway on McCarthy Auto Group Night at the races --- and fans were treated to fireworks on and off of the track.

Tim Karrick holds the record for most wins at Lakeside Speedway since 2000 with 48. However, through the midway point in the season, the Basehor, Kan., driver had yet to visit the McCarthy Auto Group winner circle.

That would change on Friday. Using his front row starting spot, Karrick would trade the lead with Parkville, Mo., driver Kerry Davis. Karrick, working the extreme top side of the race track as Davis, would use the bottom. In the end, Karrick would find his way to victory lane and win #49 at the "new" Lakeside Speedway.

Justin Seifert, 2012 track champion, started ninth on the field in the Factory Stock class and worked his way through the likes of John O'Neal Jr., Brett Hetter and Jay Barnes to find himself in Victory Lane. Once again, the Factory Stock class shows why they are a fan favorite at Lakeside. Barnes, Heeter, O'neal and Bobby Tavis rounded out the top five.

Marshall Jewett found himself in front of the Grand National division again this week only by a nose over Gary Donaldson. The photo finish had the crowd standing in anticipation to find out who the winner was.  Donnie Brown and Bill Ruisinger rounded out the top five.

KCK's Smith, Schuler among winners at Lakeside Speedway

By Bob LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net

Kansas City, Kan. ---- Darron Fuqua wasted little time working his way to the front of the USRA A-Mod feature on his way to a second feature win of the season.

The Mayetta, Kan., driver and current point leader started ninth and needed only nine laps to take the lead from multi-time winner Tim Karrick.

The lead turned out to be the safest place to be, as numerous wrecks and spins happen behind him. Jason Bodenhamer and current USRA National Points leader, Terry Smith, inherited a second and third place finish with two laps to go when Karrick and Kirby Steins were involved in an eight car crash. Kerry Davis and Mark Hoover rounded out the top five.

Gary Donaldson took advantage of his outside row one starting position to take the quick lead and would never look back.

Donnie Brown was able to fight through the field to finish second ahead of current points leader, Marshall Jewett. Steve Dibben and Bill Ruisinger rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Modified feature provided extra excitement from the get-go as Sam Schuler took the early lead in an attempt to win his first win on Lakeside’s dirt surface. The Kansas City, Kan., driver had to drive a consistent race as the field behind him was hot on his trail.

LAKESIDE SPEEDWAY: June 21, 2013

By RODNEY WHITE

KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- On a night that looked to be all about USRA Modifed points leader Darron Fuqua, it ended up being a new face in victory lane.

Chris Spieker found out that even with a fast hot rod, you still need a little luck sometimes.  Fuqua paced the modified field and at times, led by a full straight away when out of turn four, he quickly found his way into the infield with a motor that was overheating. He gained the lead and the Massena, Iowa native won his first feature win of 2013. Terry Schultz, Tim Karrick, Kerry Davis and Justin Johnson rounded out the top five.

In the Grand National Division, it was Don Marrs finding victory lane for the first time this year. Marrs used the top line of the racetrack to power his way to the front - and into the McCarthy Auto group winners circle. Marshall Jewett would finish second with third going to Gary Donaldson.

The always wild USRA B Mods lived up to its reputation, as action all over the racetrack kept the fans on the edge of their seat's while Edwardsville, Kan., driver Jake Richards picked up his second feature win of the year. Richards started outside of row one and used that to his advantage, as he was able to use the top line of the track all night to lead all 15 laps. Gene Claxon, Aaron Marrant  Chad Clancy and Nick Newton rounded out the top 5.

The best race of the night came in the Factory Stock Division, as Marshall Jewett found himself high-fiving his pit crew in Victory lane, but not after a challenge from Shaun Foster, Vic Tranckino, Brett Heeter and John O'Neal Jr.

Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children six and younger admitted free. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.

Barnes, Shields, Smith and Bidinger sail to victory lane

By RODNEY WHITE, LakesideSpeedway.net

Tim Setzer used his front-row starting spot to jump out to the early lead in  the USRA A-Modified division.

Setzer led the first 16 laps before the first caution flew. Nic Bidinger took advantage of lapped traffic, as he was able to close the gap between him and Setzer. The two traded the lead three different times, but in the end, it was Bidinger who would find himself in Victory Lane for the second time in the last two weeks.

In the Grand National Division, Don Marrs used a powerful exit off of turn two to build a lead on the field. However, Marrs met his match with the turn three wal, as he would clip the wall twice. Marrs and Shields traded the top spot lap after lap. In the end it was Tim Shields and his 42T machine that  powered past Marrs and on the Victory.

The ultra-competitive USRA B-Modified Division found Brad Smith trying to reclaim a win that he lost due to an incident with a lapped car on Saturday. Smith proved to be a man on a mission, as he powered his Cheata chassis to victory lane. It took Smith just three laps to find himself in the second spot. He was able to hold off Gene Claxton for the win.

KCK drivers earn wins at Lakeside Speedway

By BOB LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net

Defending Factory Stock champion Justin Seifert apparently needed a couple months to get back in to the groove of things at Lakeside Speedway.

The Kansas City, Kan., driver dominated last week’s feature and managed to double up with the feature win tonight as well. Starting seventh, it took Seifert half the race to take the lead from Philip Holcomb and once there, he was able to hold off the late race charge by Brett Heeter, beating him to the line. Scotty Moore finished third, while Bobby Tavis and Sean Foster rounded out the top five.

Jake Richards arrived as one of 41 USRA B-Modifieds in attendance tonight, but he left as the top of the class. Richards, also from KCK, showed just why he is a two-time Lakeside Speedway champion tonight as he was able to best last week’s feature winner, Aaron Marrant, on his way to victory lane. In third, behind Marrant, was Chad Clancy followed by Brad Smith. The only repeat feature winner this season in the B-Modifieds, Gene Claxton, finished fifth.

The Grand National feature provided numerous lead changes with the last leader being Marshall Jewett. Gary Donaldson and Donnie Brown also took turns leading but would end up finishing second and third, respectively. Steve Dibben and Dennis Melvin rounded out the top five.

If there is such a thing as the perfect set-up, Nic Bidinger, found it tonight in the USRA A-Modified feature.

From the drop of the green flag to the waving of the checkered flag, this race belonged to the Perry, Kan., native. Sedalia, Mo., driver Terry Shultz ran a hard race, moving from eighth to second. But even with lap traffic, he couldn’t muster the speed to compete with Bidinger. Tim Karrick and Darron Fuqua put on a great show, battling for third and fourth for most of the race and would finish in that position. Kerry Davis raced from 13th to finish 5th, advancing three positions in the last lap alone.

Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children six and younger admitted free. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.

KCK's Nick Newtown wins again at Lakeside Speedway

By BOB LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net

Aaron Marrant started out the evening with his first notch in the win column by showing patience in the USRA A-Modified division. The Orrick, Mo., driver needed 23 of 25 laps to work his way up to early race leader Bubba Harvey before being able to successfully challenge for the lead.

Harvey’s car appeared to be fading, as the race progressed and with one small push in turn four Marrant was able to motor around him to victory lane.

Mark Shafman started eighth and raced to a third-place finish behind Harvey. Kerry Davis and Chris Spieker rounded out the top-five.

Gardner, Kan., driver Marshall Jewett found the fast line in the Grand National feature, as he was able to best the field in their 12-lap feature. Jewett, who has feature wins in both the Grand National and Factory Stock divisions, needed only two laps to go from his third place starting spot to the lead.

Gary Donaldson and current point leader, Tim Shields, battled for second and third place while Steve Dibben and Donnie Brown rounded out the top-five.

The ultra-competitive USRA B-Modified division found defending champion Nick Newton in victory lane. The second-generation driver, from Kansas City, Kan., had a clean sweep of a night as he won his heat and feature, his first of the season.

Fuqua, Shields, Marrant, Jewett Shine at Lakeside

By BOB LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net
PHOTO: PictureMeRacing.com

Darron Fuqua had to run hard to win the USRA A-Mod, caution-free, feature Friday.

It took the Mayetta, Kan., driver 10 laps to go from his Row-5 starting spot to the lead, motoring around initial leaders Chris Spieker and Mark Shafman on the way up front. Once there, he had to stay on the gas, as Tyler Schmidt and Dustin Boney were meticulously picking off competitors, lap after lap, from their last row starting spots. They eventually finished second and fourth, respectively. Schafman would finish third, while Tim Karrick would round out the top five.

The Grand National feature also went green, white and checkered as Tim Shields backed up last week’s win with another one tonight. Starting outside row-one, Shields would take command of the race early and never look back. Marshall Jewett gave chase, but could not find the speed necessary to overtake Shields and would settle for second ahead of Steve Dibben. Gary Donaldson worked his way from 10th to finish fourth while Donnie Brown rounded out the top five.

Terry Bruner’s early lead in the USRA B-Mod feature was short lived as Aaron Marrant was able to hit the gaps just right and motor from fifth to first by lap two. He would never look back on his way to his second career B-Mod feature win. The best battle came down to the wire as Brad Smith, starting 12th, overtook Bruner for second as the checkers flew. Chad Clancy and Gene Claxton rounded out the top-five in the caution-free event.

The Factory Stock feature set the tone for the night’s feature events with a race that ended with the top five together. Marshall Jewett was the third driver to lead the race and had there been one more lap he may not have won the event. Brett Heeter was dead-set on winning his third in four weeks, but came up a bumper short of achieving that goal. Nate Barnes and Philip Holcomb finished right behind the leaders in third and fourth, respectively, while Sean Foster made a last turn pass to finish in the top five.

Bidinger, Heeter, Shields, Claxton take checkers at Lakeside

By J.D. Green, LakesideSpeedway.net

Mother Nature finally played nice with Lakeside Speedway this past week allowing for a dynamite super fast track.

The track led to side by side high line and low line competition all evening long.

The first feature event of the night began with the always exciting - and always competitive - Factory Stocks.

A first lap crash entering turn three created another double file restart.  On the restart, Brett Heeter jumped to the lead.  He was never pressured, as the race went green to checkered on the second restart.  Finishing in second was Brett’s brother-in-law Justin Siefert.

Lakeside Speedway results: May 10, 2013

By BOB LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net
PHOTO: PictureMeRacing

It was a night of firsts at Lakeside Speedway, as Austin Siebert and Chad Clancy raced to their first career victories in their divisions.

Austin Siebert led the most important lap in the USRA A-Modifieds event, in a race that featured five lead changes. Austin, from Grandview, Mo., raced from fourth to first in the last five laps to record his first career victory at Lakeside.

It took Chad Clancy, a Smithville, Mo., native, 12 of the 15 laps in the USRA B-Modifieds feature to best Nortonville, Kan., driver Luke Nieman, on his way to his first career win in this class. Clancy, the 2009 Grand National champion, recently moved up to the B-Mods class and is now one of 23 different drivers to win in more than one class.

Nic Bidinger collected his fifth career win in the USRA A-Modifieds at Lakeside Speedway, as he ran flawlessly in the make-up feature from the opening day rain out.

Marshall Jewett got back to his winning ways as he led from wire to wire in the Grand National division. Jewett, from Gardner, Kan., now has 8 career victories in the Grand National division and 9 in the Factory Stock division.

Factory Stock point leader, Nate Barnes, took home his first trophy of the season. Hailing from Kearney, Mo., Barnes needed seven laps to go from sixth to first on his way to collecting his fiveth trophy in the division.

Adult ticket prices are $12, kids 7-12 $6, and children six and younger admitted free. Senior citizens and military personnel with ID are admitted for $10.

Sanders, Higley, Donaldson, Heeter top of their class at Lakeside Speedway in weekend races

By BOB LIBBEY, LakesideSpeedway.net

Rodney Sanders wasn’t going to stop by Lakeside Speedway this afternoon.

He was on his way back home to Happy, Texas.

A USMTS regular, he was ready to make a bee-line back south - but instead, he let a fellow competitor convince him that he needed to race at Lakeside. As it turns out, it was a good thing he did, as he took home the hardware in the 20-lap USRA A-Modified division.

Starting inside Row-4, it took Sanders half the circuits to maneuver through the field,  but he still wasn’t’ catching the early leader, Aaron Marrant. Then a caution came on Lap-12 that bunched the field together. On the restart, Sanders was able set the right rear on the cushion and overtake Marrant coming out of four.

Marrant gave chase and was able to use the same move to regain the lead on lap 15 and the two then battled side by side for the remaining 5 laps. Sanders would regain the lead and eventually win, but only by a bumper.

Not to be outdone, the battle for third, fourth and fifth was every bit as entertaining.  Darron Fuqua, Austin Siebert and Chad Lyle were at times three wide for the last half of the race. Lyle, who was running third at the beginning of the race, could not hold off the advances of either Fuqua or Siebert and would settle for fifth, behind both at the drop of the checkers.

When 44 USRA B-Modifieds show up to race, it can be anybody’s race. Today that anybody was Kansas City, Mo., racer Mike Higley.

Higley, who qualified for the A by winning the fifth heat, needed both a fast running car and a bit of luck to register his eighth career win in the B-Mod division. While it took him eight of the 12 laps to catch up to and finally pass early race leader, Aaron Marrant, it was a hood pin rattling loose on the last lap that almost cost him the race.

As the white flag was being displayed and with the hood now bent up and partially obstructing his view, Higley’s speed decreased and Marrant was able to do like he had done in the A-Mod feature -- gain ground on the leader at the very end.

Had he had one more lap, Marrant may have taken the win but instead settled for a second second-place finish of the night.

For the second week in a row, Jake Richards was able to find some last lap speed to go from sixth to fourth at the line, finishing right behind defending champion, Nick Newton. Steve Goodman would round out the top five, finishing at the door of Richards.

It was decided pre-race that the Grand National division would forgo the planned double features and instead run one feature for double pay. And this 12-lap feature was all Gary Donaldson. The Liberty, Mo., driver started outside Row-1, took the lead on Lap-1 and never looked back.

While pole sitter Tim Shields did give chase, he was never able to get around Donaldson and would finish second. Jim Baker, Steve Dibben and Marshall Jewett would round out the top-five.

The 12-lap Factory Stock feature started out with a bang as a first lap crash took out several drivers from the inside starting positions. On the restart, Brett Heeter, starting outside row-three, made the gutsy move of the night going three wide coming out of two to take the lead. Sean Foster would match him lap for lap only to finish second to Heeter.

Phil Snodgrass was the biggest mover of the race, starting 21st and ending up with a third place finish. Scotty Moore and Nate Barnes would round out the top-five.

“Racing on the rivers edge” continues every Friday night through October with the USRA A-Modifieds, Grand Nationals, USRA B-Modifieds and Factory Stocks.
