TRAFFIC: Lanes on I-70 over 38th Street to be closed June 16-20

K-DOT News Release:
EXPECT DELAYS! 24/7 LANE & RAMP CLOSURES: Eastbound I-70 right two lanes over the 38th Street Bridge (Wyandotte County) will be closed for pavement repair work by the Kansas Turnpike Authority beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16 and will reopen to unrestricted traffic sometime on Thursday, June 20, weather permitting.

In order to complete the needed repair work the following lane and ramp closures will be in place, 24/7 round the clock:
  • Eastbound I-70 right two lanes over the 38th Street Bridge
  • Northbound I-635 to eastbound I-70 ramp
  • Eastbound I-70 to 38th Street ramp

Advance message boards will alert traffic to the lane and ramp closures. A marked detour will be provided during the ramp closure.

Drivers should expect major delays during peak commute times and must use alternate routes during the ramp closures. Updated daily traffic information for this project can be viewed online at: www.ksdot.org/kcmetro/laneclose.asp.
