KDOT announces lane closures in Western KCK


KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced lane closures for the area of Donahoo Road and Hutton Road.

Statement from KDOT:
EXPECT DELAYS! 24/7 LANE & RAMP CLOSURES: All lanes of eastbound and westbound Donahoo Road from Hutton Road to North 99th Street (Wyandotte County) will be CLOSED, 24/7 round the clock, for concrete storm line replacement work beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19 and reopening to unrestricted traffic by 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, weather permitting. In addition, the northbound I-435 to Donahoo Road exit ramp will be CLOSED during this same timeframe.

A marked detour route will be provided. See map below for the marked detour route. Drivers should expect delays during the lane and ramp closures and must use alternate routes.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
