TRAFFIC REMINDER: I-435 and Donahoo Road Interchange work begins tonight



KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- From the Kansas Department of Transportation:
All lanes of eastbound and westbound Donahoo Road from Hutton Road to North 99th Street (Wyandotte County) will be CLOSED, 24/7 round the clock, for concrete storm line replacement work beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26 and reopening to unrestricted traffic by 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, weather permitting. In addition, the northbound I-435 to Donahoo Road exit ramp will be CLOSED during this same timeframe. This work WAS rescheduled from the weekend of Friday-Monday, July 19-22 to the weekend of Friday-Monday, July 26-29 due to forecasted weekend weather.

A marked detour route will be provided. See map below for the marked detour route. Drivers should expect delays during the lane and ramp closures and must use alternate routes.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
