Blue Devils earn 6-0 victory over Hesston soccer

KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- Kansas City Kansas Community College’s young soccer team wasted no time in establishing a high plateau for goals on its new soccer field Friday night, racing to a 6-0 blanking of Hesston.

The was the second in two starts for the Blue Devils, who are back home this weekend for a doubleheader, hosting Allen County Saturday at 2 and 4 p.m. and Southwest Illinois Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m.

Freshmen did all the scoring against Hesston with Guilherme Ribeiro of  Orlando, Fla., posting the “hat trick” with three goals while Ryan Wynter of London, England, added two and Fabian Sanchez of Dodge City one.

Another frosh, Jesus Aguirre of KCK, posted the shutout in goal.
