New gas station coming to 90th and State Avenue

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Unified Government Board of Commissioner members approved final plans for a new gas station that will be located on 90th and State Avenue.

The gas station is expected to be named "Little Swifty's." The store will have six gas pumps and both hot and cold food will be offered by the shop.

Construction will begin sometime in October of this year and is expected to be completed by March 2014.

According to the UG agenda, about $50,000 in taxes would be generated by the property, which has been vacant for over 15 years.

In addition, on each Wednesday, the gas station will donate 10 cents of every gallon of gas purchased to a local school in the area.

The store will not be open for 24 hours.
