Two KCK students earn membership to Kansas State's Multicultural Student Honor Society

MANHATTAN, KAN. -----  Two Kansas State students from Kansas City, Kan., have achieved membership in the school's Multicultural Student Honor Society.

Perla Ramos and Maya Tilmon honored.

"The Multicultural Student Honor Society was founded in 1999 to honor multicultural students who have been successful academically at the university," said Carla Jones, assistant vice president and senior associate dean of students. The special honor society is one of only a few such organizations in the nation with this specific purpose, and the K-State organization stands as the model for other universities."

Students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 to be considered for membership.

Rams is a senior in civil engineering, while Tilmon is a sophomore majoring in public relations.
