Severe weather entering Wyandotte County

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- For those sick of the winter weather, your wish has come true.

Now we have spring weather to worry about in the form of severe thunderstorms and a threat of tornadoes.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Wyandotte County until 2:15 p.m. Meanwhile, a tornado watch has also been issued until 8 p.m.

In the thunderstorm that created the warning, 60 mile per hour winds are possible, along with quarter-size hail.

UPDATE 2:23 p.m. - The initial warning has been canceled. However, the tornado watch for Wyandotte County and the surrounding counties in the metro remains until 8 p.m.
