KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- One of the strongest and well-known candidates who could run for president in 2016 stopped in Wyandotte County today.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is in town for a fundraiser with Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, made a quick stop for barbecue at Oklahoma Joe's Bar-B-Que.

Christie is Chairman of the Republican Governor's Association, which recently purchased $600,000 worth of advertising for Brownback's gubernatorial campaign.

Brownback is in a tight-race with Democrat Paul Davis. Davis has led in four of the five polls taken this summer.

In the Real Clear Politics average, Davis leads by 2.8 percent.
