Wyandotte County Democrats face choice in multiple races

By NICK SLOAN, nick@kansascitykansan.com

Democrats in Wyandotte County will have the opportunity to choose their candidates for this year's U.S. Senate race, U.S. House race and 29th District Court Judge.

Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor is the favorite against Patrick Wiesner, a Lawrence, Kan., tax lawyer. The winner will take on either U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts or Milton Wolf, the two leading contenders in the Republican Primary Senate race.

Democrats Kelly Kultala and Reginald Marselus will compete for the opportunity to take on U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS). Yoder has no primary competition.
