Wyandotte County Traffic Note: K-7 from Kansas Avenue to Riverview Drive


KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- By mid-evening, TODAY, Tuesday, September 16, all lanes of northbound and southbound K-7 from south of Kansas Avenue to north of Riverview Avenue will be REOPENED to unrestricted traffic in Wyandotte County.

Pavement reconstruction work has been completed and K-7 traffic will now resume its normal configuration of two lanes each direction from Kansas Avenue to Riverview Avenue. All adjacent closures that were in place for this work on K-7 will reopen as well by mid-evening.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.

Clarkson Construction is the project contractor on this $18 million construction Phase 1 project. This portion of the project work is scheduled to be completed in late Fall 2014. (KDOT Project #70-105 KA-1003-05)
