KANSAS CITY METRO TRAFFIC ALERT: Santa Fe Trail Drive from 101st Street to 105th Street

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Northbound and southbound Santa Fe Trail Drive from 101st Street to 105th Street will be fully to all traffic for the setting of bridge girders, 24/7 round the clock beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 8 and will reopen to all traffic at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, weather permitting.
Due to equipment issues the bridge girders can’t be unloaded until Tuesday afternoon.
Thus the trucks carrying the bridge girders will remain on the closed portion of Santa Fe Trail Drive and the girders will be installed overnight on Tuesday night. We apologize for the delayed reopening,
Marked detour will be provided (see detour map above). Santa Fe Trail Drive traffic will detour via 99th Street to Lackman Road to 107th Street.
Advance message boards will alert drivers to the full roadway closure. Traffic will be directed via signage, cones and barricades. Drivers should expect delays and must use alternate routes during the overnight roadway closures.
