KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Official results from the Wyandotte County Election Office from last week's primary are in.
And yes, your vote matters.
Melissa Brune Bynum and Mark Gilstrap finished one and two in the Unified Government At Large District 1 primary, but their margins of victory narrowed after all the results were counted.
Bynum won by just 24 votes over Gilstrap - and Gilstrap finished in second place by just one vote over Nathan Barnes.
According to the election office, 6,449 people voted in last Tuesday's primary, just under 10 percent of Wyandotte County's registered voters.

ELECTION RESULTS: McCord, Scott advance in BPU primary

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Chris McCord and Norman D. Scott easily advanced out of the Board of Public Utilities' At Large Position 3 primary on Tuesday.
McCord won 33.7 percent of the vote, while Scott finished second with 31.5 percent.

ELECTION RESULTS: Harold Johnson wins UG District 4 primary; Maddox advances

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Harold Johnson and Tarence Maddox advanced from Tuesday's primary in the Unified Government's District 4 race.
Johnson finished with more than half of the vote, checking in with just over 53 percent. Maddox, percentage wise, finished a distant second-place.
In terms of numbers, Johnson won by 164 votes.
Scott C. Murray finished in third with 105 votes, or 11.9 percent.

Gilstrap latest Wyandotte County candidate to file papers
