Gorman charges two in connection to Suntree homicide

News Release

Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome A. Gorman filed murder charges in connection with the June 11, 2013 homicide of Shavar Buckner, 27 of KCMO, at the Suntree Plaza Apartments near Roe Lane and County Line Road in Kansas City, Kan.

Charged are Deon J. Graham, 18 years old, last known to reside at 1132 N. 5th Street, Kansas City, Kan., and Tiara N. Harden, 18 years old, last known to reside at 9235 Kansas Avenue, KCK.

Both are charged with first degree murder of Shavar Buckner, and with aggravated robbery, and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery

The conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery alleges that Graham and Harden conspired together and with Ernest Stamps to rob Buckner.  Stamps and Buckner appear to have exchanged gunfire, and both Stamps and Buckner were killed.
