KANSAS CITY METRO TRAFFIC ALERT: Westbound I-435 to Quivira Road Exit Ramp 45-Day CLOSURE TRAFFIC ALERT for October 13-November 26

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Westbound I-435 to Quivira Road exit ramp will be CLOSED to all traffic for ramp reconstruction work, 24/7 round the clock, beginning at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13 and will reopen to all traffic on Wednesday, November 26, weather permitting.

Advance message boards will alert traffic to the ramp closure.

A marked detour will be provided. Westbound I-435 traffic will detour by taking the exit before the U.S. 69 interchange (just after Antioch Road interchange) and follow the collector-distributor road that runs parallel to westbound I-435 (on the north side) to exit at Quivira Road.

Drivers should expect delays during peak travel times and must use alternate routes during the ramp closure.

Updated daily traffic information for the #jocogateway interchange project can be viewed at: www.jocogateway.com and for the entire Kansas City Metro Area at: www.ksdot.org/kcmetro/laneclose.asp.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
