WYANDOTTE COUNTY TRAFFIC ALERT: New Eastbound I-70 to K-7 Ramp to Open


BONNER SPRINGS, KAN. ---- By 9 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, November 21, the new eastbound I-70 to K-7 ramp will OPEN to unrestricted traffic in Bonner Springs (Wyandotte County).

Crews are finishing up traffic control work this afternoon and evening and will fully open the ramp to traffic after rush hour tomorrow morning. This ramp work is part of the K-7 and I-70 Interchange Project Phase 1 construction.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.

Clarkson Construction is the project contractor on this $18 million construction Phase 1 project. This portion of the project work is scheduled to be completed in late Fall 2014. (KDOT Project #70-105 KA-1003-05)
