WEATHER: No snow in the forecast for Christmas


KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Those Kansas City residents who are dreaming of a White Christmas will have to keep dreaming according to the National Weather Service.

There's no snow in the forecast to begin the week.

  • Sunday Night/Monday Morning: Rain. Low around 43. South southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Monday: Rain likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 50. South southeast wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
