Graffiti removal to delay traffic next week

News release from the Kansas Department of Transportation:
EXPECT DELAYS! ROADWAY CLOSURE: Eastbound I-70 two exit lanes at I-670 will be CLOSED for overhead signage work on Wednesday, February 6 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in Kansas City (KS). ROADWAY CLOSURE: Eastbound I-670 three through lanes at I-70 junction will be CLOSED for overhead signage work on Thursday, February 7 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. NOON in Kansas City (KS). **Due to the forecasted inclement weather, these lane closures have been rescheduled from this Wednesday-Thursday, January 30-31 to next Wednesday-Thursday, February 6-7, weather permitting.

No marked detours provided. Drivers will need to use eastbound I-670 during the I-70 closures on Wednesday and eastbound I-70 during the eastbound I-670 closures on Thursday. Drivers should expect delays and must use alternate routes during the full roadway closure. See aerial map below.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
